MONOFLO ACHIEVES ISO 9001:2008

NOV Monoflo, a subsidiary of Mono Pumps, ltd., a division of National Oilwell Varco L.P., the leading Progressing Cavity pumping technology provider for the Industrial and Oil/Gas sectors, today announced that its quality management system has been certified as complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 following a review by the independent audit firm Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance in Houston.

The ISO certification assures NOV Monoflo’s customers, in the critical Industrial and Oil/Gas sectors, that our company embraces a robust quality management system that controls our product design, manufacture, and supply activities. These elements are essential to our customers to meet their rigorous market standards. NOV Monoflo’s quality management system addresses all parts of the ISO 9001:2008 standard, including product conceptualization, design and development, testing, manufacturing, shipping and support.

“Obtaining certification for the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard is an important recognition of NOV Monoflo’s culture of continual improvement,” commented Jim Putnam, General Manager of NOV Monoflo. “NOV Monoflo is committed to understanding and meeting the quality needs and expectations that are valued by our customers. Our comprehensive quality management system strengthens our global reputation for delivering innovative products and services of the highest quality.”

ISO 9001:2008, which is administered by the International Organization for Standardization, is recognized globally as the guideline for establishing and maintaining an effective quality management system for business in any sector. Companies seeking registration must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of an independent third-party auditor an ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and regulatory requirements. ISO 9001 has existed for almost 20 years. In 2008, the standard was revised, placing more emphasis on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
